The governing body is extremely supportive of the school and participates in all aspects of school development and events. Full governing body meetings take place each term and we invite children to present their work and discuss learning opportunities with governors once a term.
Governors are present at most events and can discuss aspects of school life and the progress Errington is making. At each governing body meeting, staff present on how the curriculum is developing and the next steps being taken in particular subjects.
We have a comprehensive link governor programme, where a particular governor is responsible for the quality assuring or checking of a particular area of the curriculum. They meet with the curriculum lead and discuss progress and next steps with their subject area.
Our governing body consists of the following members.
