The Haven

Haven is a 12-week short term intervention for pupils with SEMH needs and in danger of a Permanent exclusion. 

Students attending haven will have academic targets to close gaps and SEMH targets to work on during their stay. Haven staff will support pupils to better understand their own SEMH needs and provide strategies to both the student and staff in the home school to support a carefully planned and supported transition back into school or the pupils next setting.

Places are allocated and funded by the LEA via a panel. The placement is monitored by the inclusion team at the LEA throughout
